WORLD HEALTH DAY
Every year many countries around the world celebrate April 7 as World Health Day, with the aim of remembering and raising awareness of the great importance of caring for the body and mind, and encouraging governments, organizations and companies to continue investing in health to improve people’s futures.
This day arose from the creation of the World Health Organization as a way to dedicate its efforts to the promotion and care of health around the world.
Now, more than ever, we must not neglect our health and from Spiral, we want to highlight the work of all health services and research that help improve our well-being, and promote change so that World Health Day is celebrated every day.
To try to give the relevance that this day deserves, we propose key points for all of us to meditate on health every day of the year:
-Stop to reflect on your state of health and lifestyle.
On many occasions our day goes so fast that we do not pay attention to many of the «signals» that our body sends us. Because we don’t know how to interpret them, we don’t pay attention to them or due to lack of time, we decide to let them go because we think they don’t have too much importance. These signs accumulate day by day until they become much more serious and it is more difficult to treat them.
It is vitally important that we spend a few minutes each day thinking carefully about these signs, not letting them overlook them and giving them a tangible solution.
-Don’t just look at physical health. You may be neglecting other types of health.
We must not forget that other types of health are as important as physical. For example, mental health affects emotional, psychological and social aspects, yet it is one of the most neglected areas in our society.
A good organization and assimilation of our own emotions can become one of our greatest achievements. We must learn that investing in mental well-being is investing in health.
-Direct your efforts to prevent diseases before they appear.
Health prevention makes up the set of actions aimed at modifying habits or behaviors in order to maintain or improve health, and is directly related to helping early detection of diseases.
It is always good to find out about those aspects of our day to day that we could change to try to improve our health. Remember that small changes can make a big difference at the end of the day.
Be guided by specialists who can provide the best recommendations tailored to your needs. At Spiral, we are committed to constant research, disease prevention and the creation of personalized recommendations based on genetic information for a better lifestyle.
-Foster good habits and a healthy lifestyle
We commonly tend to be influenced by others through what they say, think, or do. This effect increases if we also perceive benefits, as is the case with healthy habits.
Being able to inspire other people through advice and good habits is one of the biggest goals to achieve.
-Take care of yourself and take care of others.
Not all of us enjoy the same situation or the same facilities. We live in an unequal and often unfair world, therefore, on certain occasions we must learn to put ourselves in the shoes of others and help as far as we can to improve their well-being, but without neglecting our health.
